These terms and conditions are subject to change at any time by revising this posting. You are subject to any such amendments and should therefore return to this page regularly to check the current terms.

Logos

Logos may be used by any media outlet providing reviews, coverage, or updates of Our Brands.

Image Assets

Our Brands are happy to provide free use of the image assets below to any outlet providing “friendly” coverage of our tours, experiences, products, and services. Images can only be used to communicate information specific to Our Brands and must be attributed to Our Brands with a link to either homepage in the photo credit, e.g., “Photo Courtesy of Albanian Odyssey.” Photos may be used in the body of a listicle as long as attribution guidelines are met. The link must be a follow link and cannot be “no-follow.” 

The attribution link is permitted to be an affiliate link. Images may not be used to sell products on any other web property other than albanianodyssey.com.

DEFINITIONS

User – refers to anyone, including you, who visits, reads, and/or uses this site and all its features.
Albanian Odyssey – refers to Albanian Odyssey Company registered in Albania, Albanian Odyssey SHPK, Rruga Frosina Plaku 21, Tirane 1023, with Vat Number M3190023F and Tour Operator License Number LN-7067-02-2024.

Seller – refers to Albanian Odyssey and its employees.

Service Provider – refers to any person not directly employed by Albanian Odyssey who provides services under the guidance of Albanian Odyssey. May also be referred to as a 3rd Party or 3rd Party Service Provider.

Website (site) – refers to https://albanianodyssey.com/ and any links available from or within the website but does not include any external websites or links to external websites not belonging to or controlled by Albanian Odyssey Sh.P.K or a related company doing business as Albanian Odyssey.

Material/s – refers to physical material and items contained on this site that can be extracted, e.g., HTML, photographs, maps, software, films, emails, video.

Services – refers to the products and services offered within this website, tangible or intangible.
AO – Albanian Odyssey.

Private Tours – A tour conducted privately without outside participants. This means that it is simply your group, however large or small, and the tour guide.

Small Group Tour – A tour that has members from multiple parties and a tour guide. Group sizes vary as advertised on our website, but basically, your group may be accompanied by others.

Museum Tickets/Admissions – refers to the fee charged to enter museums, archaeological sites, and/or desired historical sites of importance.

Booking Confirmation – is a confirmation sent via email or fax that confirms services have been confirmed and reserved.

Reasonable Action – any action that is legal in the country where it is conducted and does not result in a financial loss for Albanian Odyssey or any of its affiliates.

Clients – users who have agreed to Albanian Odyssey’s terms and conditions and have paid or will pay for services. This agreement will be formed either after you complete the booking process on our site by purchasing one of our travel items or by email with a member of our travel planning team.

Drivers – refers to service professionals that operate cars, vans, helicopters, boats, buses, and/or any vehicle powered by an energy source.

Radio/Headset or Tour Guide System – CE certified unidirectional and bidirectional radio transmitters and receivers operating on short-range radio frequencies, including accessories such as earphones, microphones, charging systems, carrying bags, covers, and spare parts for radios.

All the products offered through our website are described in detail on the relevant product pages (quality, characteristics, availability, price, delivery times, ancillary charges, etc.). There may be some errors, inaccuracies, or small differences between what is published on the website and the actual product. Furthermore, any images of the products are only representative and do not constitute a contractual element.

Purchases and/or requests for the supply of one or more products through the website are allowed to both Consumer Users and non-Consumer Users.

The contract for the sale or supply of the products is concluded with the acceptance by the Seller of the User’s contractual proposal.

YOUR CONTRACT WITH ALBANIAN ODYSSEY SH.P.K

When you make a booking with “Albanian Odyssey,” you undertake that you have the authority to accept and do accept these booking conditions on behalf of yourself and your party. The person making the booking (the ‘lead name’) must be 18 years old or over and possess the legal capacity and authority to make the booking and accept these booking conditions on behalf of everyone in their party. Whether you book alone or as a group, we will only deal with the lead name in all subsequent correspondence, including changes, amendments, and cancellations. The lead name is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the personal details or any other information supplied in respect of yourself and any other person traveling on the booking and for passing on any information regarding the booking or any changes made in relation thereto, to all persons traveling on such booking, including but not limited to information on schedule changes or copies of booking confirmations.

These conditions in conjunction with the information set out on our website form the entire agreement between yourself and AO.

Albanian Odyssey offers you the opportunity to purchase tourism-related products and services without registration. Each product and service include the following features, which you automatically agree to upon purchase:

• Booking the tour/trip, part of it or a specific experience, in the cities in which we are present;

• Renting a Tour Guide System, part of it or specific accessories, in the cities in which we are present;

• Assistance from AO staff, to the best of their abilities, for the duration of the service;

• Opportunity to notify you about new or alternative products and services similar to what you are buying.

PRODUCT VALIDITY, MODIFICATIONS, AND AMENDMENTS

Albanian Odyssey’s products are valid for the dates and times listed on www.albanianodyssey.com. Albanian Odyssey is not liable or responsible for any information that it does not supply directly.

All requests for booking changes, modifications, or cancellations must be sent to the Albanian Odyssey Travel Expert Team by email at booking@albanianodyssey.com.

Albanian Odyssey will make every effort to honor your request for a date/time change; however, Albanian Odyssey cannot guarantee date/time change requests because all requests and revisions are subject to availability. Albanian Odyssey will make reasonable efforts to fulfill change requests received but will impose fees related to, but not limited to, ticket costs and staff costs to acquire/alter tickets.

Albanian Odyssey reserves the right, at any time and for any reason, to cancel, change, or substitute any tour that you have booked on albanianodyssey.com.

PRICES

Surcharges are normally not applied to prices that are fixed at the time of booking. The only exception will be if our costs rise as a result of government action or if ticket prices rise suddenly without warning. Due to the addition and removal of exhibitions by the museums, museum tickets/admissions are also subject to change without notice. We merely state that to reserve our rights; we’ve never had to use it.

Our excursions and experiences are available in a variety of currencies; however, payment is made in Euros through our company (Albanian Odyssey Sh.P.K).

We use a safe mechanism to include foreign exchange rates (FX rates) in our prices. Our rates are based on rates obtained online but may not be the same as our pricing. Our rates are updated once a day and may differ somewhat from those obtained on the internet.

The foreign exchange rate at which we sell our tours is non-negotiable.

INSURANCE & FINANCIAL PROTECTION

All participants are responsible for having their own health/travel insurance. You acknowledge that insurance coverage is not included in the cost of any Tour offered by the Tour Operator and you are required to obtain separate coverage at an additional cost. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have sufficient coverage and comply with the terms of the applicable insurance plans. You are responsible for advising your insurer of the type of travel, destination(s), and activities included in your booking so that the insurer may provide appropriate coverage.

We will provide you with financial protection for any package holidays you buy from us. You will be entitled to a refund or repatriation should our travel company experience any financial difficulty during the time of the booking.

PAYMENTS, REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

MasterCard, Visa, and American Express are all accepted at Albanian Odyssey. Our prices include all credit card processing costs. At checkout, you will not be charged an additional fee for credit card processing. Although our prices are displayed in Euro, USD, CAD, AUS, and GBP, your card will be charged in Euro. If you are concerned that your bank will charge you fees for making a foreign currency purchase, please contact them immediately. Albanian Odyssey is not merely a booking agency; our Tour Operator and offices around Albania organize and operate all trips and activities.

You may cancel your booking by notifying AO. A cancellation will only be effective when we receive written confirmation via e-mail at booking@albanianodyssey.com from the lead name.

Cancellation fees, if any, will be determined with reference to the date on which notice of cancellation is received by AO and are expressed as a percentage of the total price paid for the canceled Tour, product, or service (excluding any insurance products).

You can cancel your tours as follows:

For Walking Tours, you can cancel up to 24 hours before the start of the tour, free of charge (except Bank, Card, or PayPal commission 2.5-5% rate).
For Daily Tours that include transport and movement inside or outside the city, you can cancel up to 72 hours before the start of the tour, free of charge (except Bank, Card, or PayPal commission 2.5-5% rate).
For multi-day tours that include accommodation, transport, etc., you can cancel up to 15 days before the start of the tour, free of charge (except Bank, Card, or PayPal commission 2.5-5% rate).

INJURY, LOSS OR DAMAGES AGREEMENT BETWEEN USERS & AO

Albanian Odyssey is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage that arises as a result of using its services, such as robbery, automobile accidents, illness, or terrorist attacks.

The conduct of AO’s third-party service providers, such as drivers and guides, is not under its control. AO, however, will ensure that all drivers are properly insured and licensed to transport tourists in their area.

SPECIAL ASSISTANCE

Travelers who require special assistance must notify AO at the time of booking if they have a disability or an allergy. Although AO will make every effort to accommodate all visitors, not all historical sites are prepared to accommodate individuals who have difficulty walking. Travelers should be aware that some attractions will be difficult to reach for wheelchair users. Albanian Odyssey recommends Private Tours for any customer with serious mobility issues.

BAGGAGE DISCLAIMER

AO is not liable for personal items that are lost, stolen, or destroyed on tours. AO works with the best transportation companies, guides, and service providers, but it is each participant’s obligation to keep an eye on their personal belongings. Travelers should always have appropriate insurance to address these issues, according to AO.

DEADLINE FOR THE ASSERTION OF CLAIMS

Customers’ claims towards AO due to non-fulfillment or fulfillment not in accordance with the contract must be asserted within 15 days after the contractually agreed Tour date in writing with a detailed explanation of the claims. A complaint to the Tour guide is not sufficient. Claims received by AO after the expiry of this deadline cannot be accepted, except if Customers prove that they were faultlessly prevented from meeting such a deadline.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

It is your responsibility to obtain information and have in your possession all the required documentation and identification required for entry, departure, and travel to each country or region. This includes a valid passport and all travel documents required by the relevant governmental authorities, including all visas, permits, and certificates (including but not limited to vaccination or medical certificates) and insurance policies. You must have a passport that is valid for 6 months after the last date of travel with the Tour Operator as set out on your itinerary. You accept full responsibility for obtaining all such documents, visas, and permits prior to the start of the Tour, and you are solely responsible for the full amount of costs incurred as a result of missing or defective documentation. You agree that you are responsible for the full amount of any loss or expense incurred by the Tour Operator that is a direct result of your failure to secure or be in possession of proper travel documentation. The Tour Operator does not provide advice on travel documents and makes no representations or warranties as to the accuracy or completeness of any information provided on visas, vaccinations, climate, clothing, baggage, or special equipment, and you agree that the Tour Operator is not responsible for any errors or omissions in this information.

HOLIDAY OR MUSEUM CLOSURES

AO has conducted the necessary research and planning to ensure that its clients are able to participate in all of the trips listed on the AO website; however, we cannot be held liable for strikes occurring within Albania. AO cannot be held liable if a museum or archaeological site closes due to a strike because there is no way to know in advance. We will do our best to reschedule any affected tours, but we cannot promise that we will be able to meet client demands. In Albania, the majority of museums reserve the authority to close at any time for whatever reason they feel necessary. AO is not liable for decisions made by archaeological sites, museums, or religious administration.

YOUTH DISCLAIMER

Any minor (under 18 years) who takes part in an AO Tour, AO Guided Vacations, or AO service must be accompanied and supervised by an adult during the entire city tour/vacation package/service. AO, or anyone working with AO, cannot be held liable for underage children while on an AO city tour/vacation package/service.

LAW & JURISDICTION

If you booked your holiday in any jurisdiction other than in Albania (including any booking via the Internet), this contract, and any other claim or dispute arising from or related to this contract, will be governed by Albanian law, and the courts of Albania shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim arising out of it.
